Ok so after all B.O.’s talk of ‘concern’ for his fellow man and how he wants to help us all (I, for one, am SO grateful). Let’s compare tax returns…
Palin-
Republican Sen. John McCain’s campaign said Sarah and Todd Palin had a gross income of nearly $170,000 last year and paid nearly $25,000 in taxes….The couple donated more than $8,000 to charity over two years.

Biden-
For 2007, Mr. Biden and his wife Jill paid taxes of $66,273 on an adjusted gross income of $319,853 in 2007. Their income included $71,000 in royalties, presumably from his book. They had $62,954 in deductions, including $995 in gifts to charities and $38,712 in interest payments. -(not too patriotic huh Joe?? Isn’t that what you said?)

McCain-
For 2006, Senator McCain paid $72,771 in federal income, alternative minimum, and self-employment taxes (LINES 57 and 58) on taxable income of $215,304 (LINE 43), which is a 33.8% tax rate. View

Charitable Contributions:
Senator McCain donates his royalties from his books to charitable organizations. This sum has totaled over $1,800,000 since 1998 when he signed his first book deal. Senator McCain’s book income of $256,898 for 2006 and 2007 is comprised of earnings for Faith of My Fathers, Worth the Fighting For, Why Courage Matters, Character is Destiny, and Hard Call.

B.O. (I LOVE THIS NAME)
The tax returns show he made $4,238,165 last year, most of it ($3.9 million) a result of profits from his best selling books. He reported paying $1,396,772 in federal taxes and making charitable contributions totaling $240,370. Those donations included $26,270 to the Trinity United Church of Christ, which was the Chicago parish of his controversial longtime pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright.-(great…the money went to the ’spiritual racist’)

Interesting that the Palin’s have the income that people can actually relate to. Also, that Mr. Joe Bepatrioticpaymoretaxes Biden, contributed the LEAST to charity. And that a good chunk of BO’s contribution went to the not-so-spiritual advisor Mr. Ihatethiscountry Wright. And that McCain has given the most and is not keeping the profits from his books.
But, none of this matters. Oh well, just always remember these immortal words of BO……he can bring ‘Change we can believe in’.
