So by now we all know that BO won the presidential election….and certainly what we have seen is our government and constitution in action…..and I was hearing on the news how this was going to bring in this new era of tolerance and freedom and I got to thinking….
In the past 40-50 years, this country has gotten progressively more liberal which, presumably would make it better right???? Ok, and during that time, we have seen the crime rates (especially violent crime) go through the roof. So, let me ask, if you eat something that doesn’t agree with you and makes you a little bit sick, does that mean that more of that food will make you a lot better????? Or how about, a little bit of cancer is bad for you but a lot of cancer is great for you??
Does this make sense to anyone or I am just missing it??? Our country’s young people (the under 30 crowd)….not all of them….but lots of them turned out in huge numbers for this election. These are also the people that have been educated by the hippie generation and the free love people….they have been taught to believe that your heart should lead the way. That is in TOTAL opposition to what we should teach which is that your head is supposed to be in control…..then the heart….then the body last….why??? Well, what do we say when our kids want to run out in the street?? NO….even though we hate to see them sad. Why?? Because our brain knows they can get hurt. If you let your heart, that wants to make them happy, make that decision….they could get hurt or even die. (Physical is last for obvious reasons). But we have lots of young people, many of them very well meaning…who lead with the wrong part. I hope this country gets ready for the decision it has made because my guess is that BO will not be leading with his heart trying to make everyone happy…..just the ones that got him where he is….that takes brains!!
