Change we can believe in-a new slogan for this year. Ranks right up there with “Always First Class”. (Whoever wanted to be 2nd class is what I want to know). Either way, I am so TIRED of this new one. Because it is said as an emotional feel good thing…with nothing behind it. Promised tax cuts with 600million dollars in new spending…..how does that compute?
We are being told that we should trust his “temperament and judgment”. Ok, I know this sounds like a DUMB question but, what judgment??? Certainly not his ‘I vote present’ track record as a legislator. How about the judgment and ‘choice’ that allowed him to spend 20ish years in the pews of Pastor Wright who’s anti American views are staggering. How about the judgment that allowed him to begin his political career with the blessing of Professor Ayers who, to this day, does not apologize for his domestic terrorism during his ‘peaceful days’. OR, how about the judgment it took to use the monetary help of Chicago’s own, now convicted, Tony ‘Soprano’ Rezko.
Per Rudy Giuliani, change is not a destination and hope is not a strategy. Too long for a slogan but true anyway right?? I prefer to trust the judgment of John McCain (whom I have NOT always agreed with). I trust his judgment when he says that we should send more troops into Iraq when it was NOT popular. Guess what??? He was right!! What about his judgment in Vietnam (I know, bare with me a little longer Jimmy-we won’t “milk” it too much longer) when he was given a green light to leave but refused to go home in front of other men who were there longer than him. How about trusting his judgment on bi-partisanship when he actually co-authored legislation (where’s Obama’s??) with Ted Kennedy?? (I hated that bill).
The point is, DO THE RESEARCH. It is like telling a 3 year old, “I trust your judgment” when you have never seen it in action. That is why kids have parents! Obama needs his mommy!!
